Direct Marketing Specialist

Overview of Responsibilities: Drives member engagement to increase product adoption and support relationship growth through the execution of personalized, data-driven direct marketing programs. Delivers always-on communications by leveraging the Marketing Data Platform (MDP) and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Develops and manages targeted direct marketing programs using the Marketing Data Platform (MDP) to leverage predictive analytics and deliver personalized always-on communications across direct mail, email, SMS, and digital channels. Aligns direct marketing campaign objectives with organizational goals and product strategies by collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
  • Creative and Content Management: Writes and edits clear, compliant, and member-centric content for direct marketing materials that support product adoption and strengthens member relationships. Collaborates with internal designers, campaign team, and external agencies to develop creative materials that reflect MSGCU’s brand identity and resonate with target audiences. Maintains brand consistency across all campaigns and ensures all materials meet regulatory and legal standards.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Partner with Marketing Analyst and Business Intelligence to track, measure, and report on direct marketing campaign performance using KPIs, ROI, and engagement metrics. Uses predictive analytics and A/B testing to identify opportunities for improvement and continually optimize marketing performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Project Management: Ensure programs are executed on time and within budget. Maintains campaign calendars and project timelines to support timely, cost-effective delivery of marketing initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred; and
  • 3 years of experience in direct marketing or campaign management, including developing content and using marketing automation platforms and data segmentation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) required.
  • Experience in financial services, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with financial marketing regulations (Truth in Lending, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR/CCPA) preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
  • Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area as business needs require.
  • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
  • This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salaries are just the starting point for MSGCU team members. We also champion our team members with generous health benefits, vacation time, retirement plan contributions and discounts on loans and phone service also come with the job.

  • Base salary begins at $57,000 / year

  • Medical, dental and vision on your first day! You can choose the most generous Health Savings Account (HSA)-eligible medical plan with no monthly premium for you (and your family)

  • If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k)

  • You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date)
