Overview of Responsibilities: Leads dynamic and impactful training sessions while guiding trainers in delivering learning experiences that align with organizational talent development strategies. Oversees the daily operations of foundational training programs, ensuring consistent, high-quality facilitation. Manages scheduling, progress tracking, and learning assignments for all new team members to support a seamless onboarding experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivers engaging and effective development experiences across multiple learning modalities to support a consistent and high-quality team member experience. Ensures foundational training classes are executed in a manner that strengthens team capabilities, builds strong member relationships, and promotes member-centric solutions. Aligns training classes with organizational objectives, tailors content to diverse learning styles and ensures integration into existing strategies.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness by gathering feedback, analyzing performance data, and identifying learning gaps. Applies insights to refine content, adjust delivery methods, and improve development strategies that drive stronger learning outcomes.
  • Maintains and applies knowledge of the business and industry trends to advance organizational goals and proactively identify gaps in existing processes, training practices, and emerging needs.
  • Enables team’s success by providing clear direction and setting clear expectations. Holds self and others accountable, executing at a high level of effectiveness to drive results and achieve expected outcomes consistently, even under tough circumstances.
  • Plans, aligns and and prioritizes work to meet organizational goals and other commitments, anticipates and mitigates risks appropriately, and manages time and resources efficiently.
  • Supports the execution of retail workshops by coordinating with the talent developers to define training deliverables and reinforcing key messages to ensure clear and consistent training delivery
  • Drives engagement by creating an inclusive environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and connected to shared organizational goals. Develops talent by enabling team members to build skills to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goals through mentoring, coaching, and relevant development opportunities.
  • Effectively communicates using various forms of communication (written, verbal, presentation), models Crucial Conversations skills, facilitates topical discussions and actively listens to accommodate the needs of different audiences.
  • Partners with content owners and subject matter experts to maintain and update LearningLinks pages to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and supports team member development.
  • Gains the confidence and trust of others by modeling honesty, integrity authenticity, and behaviors that align with organizational values. Makes responsible choices and exemplifies courage by stepping up to address difficult issues. Maintains a trusting relationship with direct team, peers, manager, and stakeholders.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Training & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources Business Administration, or related field required; and
  • 3 years of related, progressively more responsible experience developing and delivering team member training, preferably within a credit union to gain necessary background to manage area overseeing; and
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Professional Certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
  • Occasionally required to travel throughout the MSGCU's service area as business needs require.
  • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
  • This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary begins at $72,000
  • Medical, dental and vision on your first day! You can choose the most generous Health Savings Account (HSA)-eligible medical plan with no monthly premium for you (and your family)
  • If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k)
  • You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date)
